Do you know anything specific about the order of monks known as The Old Order? All I can find is that they worship a god who may be dead, or may have never even existed.

*The bearded sage chews on his old pipe and mutters under his breath about monks and thier ilk.*

Where is that blasted book...
Ahhh there is that wand of lich suckage....
Eye of Newt....toads pancreas....Here it is...

*He pulls forth a very very thin volumne on them that says on its cover Old Order Monks on the leather bound book with Monks crossed out and Idjits to the Idjit Degree underneath it.*

Old OrderAssociated deity: None
Alignment: Lawful neutral, some lawful good but very rarely lawful evil
Multiclass as rogue, sorcerer or shadowdancer (as long as there are more monk levels than combined levels of other classes)
Monks of the Old Order do not worship any deity, but are devoted to the philosophy espoused by a deity who is either now dead or has never existed on the material plane of Toril. The monks contradict themselves on this point, but the deity's identity isn't important to them, it's the message they care about. The Old Order never has huge monasteries, but has spread widely through Faerun

Plinth: Located in Trades Ward, this set of sacred rocks is kept as a place of worship and meditation for all faiths. Many long-dead deities hear from their worshipers only at the feet of the Plinth. For the record, the Monks of the Old Order eschew worship at the Plinth, preferring to leave their departed god alone, if in fact they ever had a god.

As yah can see, he takes his pipe out to jab it towards him, there is precious little written on these fellows.

//System Rules is you use the deity Monk Order to be one of these fellows in order to be raised as in true PnP they are unable to be raised. I will contuine to look for more info as I find it and will post it.

Another way to look at it is that Old Order allows any god to be chosen for the monk. The whole basis behind the orders in the book is to allow for some cross classing of an otherwise sole class. (PNP Pally's and monks can't cross class etc)

I interperet it to mean that the order's philosphy does not touch on gods like the more restricted ones.

IE Dark moon you MUST follow Shar. And you must keep the Monk Sorc cross class within the template.
